Women are beginning to receive the message that injured nerves are causing their symptoms. Colleagues in UK, Australia, Belgium, Holland, Germany, China and USA have demonstrated injuries in the uterus, cervix and Fallopian tube in women with "endometriosis". Injuries to nerves result from difficult vaginal deliveries, persistent straining during defaecation as well as some forms of surgery. Prevention is better than treatment.
